By accessing and using OpsKit (“the Service”), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Service.

OpsKit provides free, browser-based DevOps tools and utilities including:

  • Password Generator
  • Regex Log Lab
  • kubectl Visual Command Builder
  • Additional tools and resources

All tools run entirely in your browser. No data is transmitted to our servers or any third-party services.

  • All tools operate entirely within your browser
  • No data you enter is sent to our servers
  • No personal information is collected or stored
  • No tracking cookies are used for tool functionality

We use privacy-respecting analytics (Google Analytics with anonymized IP) to understand:

  • Page views and navigation patterns
  • General geographic location (country level)
  • Browser and device types

You may use OpsKit tools for:

  • Personal use
  • Professional/commercial use
  • Educational purposes
  • Testing and development

You may not:

  • Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise the service
  • Use the tools for illegal activities
  • Distribute malware or malicious content
  • Attempt to overload or disrupt the service
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of results

We do not guarantee that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The service is free of viruses or harmful components

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

OpsKit, its developers, and contributors SHALL NOT BE LIABLE for any:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses
  • Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Any other matter relating to the service

This applies whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

  • Passwords are generated using cryptographic random number generators
  • We cannot guarantee absolute security of passwords
  • You are responsible for storing passwords securely
  • We recommend using a reputable password manager
  • Tools are provided for educational and testing purposes
  • Always test regex patterns and kubectl commands in safe environments
  • We are not responsible for damages from using generated commands in production
  • Review all generated commands before execution
  • The OpsKit website, tools, and content are owned by OpsKit and protected by copyright laws
  • The OpsKit name and logo are trademarks
  • Source code is available under open-source licenses (where applicable)
  • Specific licensing terms are available in the project repository
  • You retain all rights to data you input into our tools
  • No intellectual property rights are transferred to us by using the service

OpsKit may contain links to third-party websites or services. We:

  • Do not control or endorse third-party content
  • Are not responsible for third-party privacy practices
  • Recommend reviewing third-party terms and policies

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue the service (or any part) temporarily or permanently
  • Change these Terms of Service at any time
  • Notify users of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date

Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

The Service is available to users 13 years of age and older. If you are under 13, please do not use the Service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OpsKit, its developers, and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and OpsKit regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.

You Can: Use all our tools freely for personal or professional use

You Can’t: Use our tools for illegal activities or try to break the service

🔒 Privacy: All tools run in your browser. We don’t see or store your data.

⚠️ Responsibility: You’re responsible for how you use generated passwords, regex patterns, and kubectl commands. Test in safe environments first.

📜 Legal Protection: We provide tools “as-is” and can’t be held liable for damages. This is standard for free services.
